Determination of Reliable Biomass Indicators in the Cyanobacterium Gloeothece.

Abstract: Gloeothece is a nitrogen-fixing cyanobacteria surrounded by a polysaccharide sheath. The sheath has provided problems with determining the biomass for this species and so a number of techniques were tested to find the most reliable method.
